Weber County Market Update May 2013

Bridge The stats are in for May 2013 for Home Sales in Weber County. The Weber County Market Update for May 2013 is a good one! They are all positive resultsĀ and implies the market is recovering. When representing buyers in the last 60 days I have been competing with multiple offers and having to show more homes than I normally would. Here is a basic breakdown for you comparing May 2012 to May 2013:

 

New Listings +28.8%

Pending Sales +23.7%

Closed Sales +10.4%

Median Sales Price +12.4%

Average Sales Price +19.5%

Year to Date Data compared to 2012 are as follows:

New Listings: +6.4%

Pending Sales +16.2%

Closed Sales +13.6%

Median Sales Price +12.1%

Average Sales Price +9.3%

Some other good news…the Percentage of Original Purchase Price received went up 2.8%! This means sellers are able to get close to listing price on offers.

Interest rates are still low, we did see a slight climb at the end of June. Lenders and Banks are continuing to come up with new loan programs to fit the array of different buyers and their needs.
